A fine pair of cast silver candlesticks on shaped square bases with detachable nozzles. Hallmarked London 1748, maker's mark WC (attributed to William Cafe, a prominent silversmith of the period).

Fully engraved with armorial cartouches on each base — a coat of arms with a lion rampant. Good weight (combined 680g). Minor denting to one nozzle, otherwise excellent original condition. Polished and ready to use.
